So my question is how do i fix this problem? i would really love to install the media center extender but it requires im on MCE 2005, but the version number is what ruins everything. It says im on windows mce 2002, which i know is incorrect considering i bought it from dell as a 2005 mce and this was in 2006, so they wouldnt have sold me an old version of MCE, and second i have the MCE 2005 install disk on hand, so it is legit. Then after i took a look at Properties after right clicking the My Computer icon, and this is what came up: Hi, my problem is that ive been trying to install the media center edition extender for the xbox 360 and i figured out my problem, when trying to install it, it would say i was on an incompatible OS ( ), but i looked in my media center and everything was fine, it said windows xp media center edition 2005 update rollup 2, exactly what i needed.
